Family Owned & Operated
Stonewood Elk Ranch Ltd. is a family owned and operated farm near Balmoral, Manitoba that was established in 1997. We raise elk for the trophy market, breeding stock and meat. We average between 600-700 elk in our herd depending on the time of year.
Strong Typical Genetics
We love our typical style genetics! Through carefully selected natural breeding as well as artificial insemination, we have grown a typical herd to be proud of. For the last decade, we have focused on tine placement, tine length, width and style. Our cows consistently deliver us beautiful stylish typical bulls.
"Farm to Fork" Shop
We have opened a cute little country store featuring our elk meat and products. Come visit our shop at the farm in Balmoral! Our elk meat is always sourced from our own farm and we also offer bison which is exclusively sourced from a local bison farm. Elk and bison meat are natural, healthy and delicious red meats.
